Online 11+ English Tuition to Build Creative Writers and Confident Readers
Live online Creative Writing and Comprehension classes for children aged 8 to 11 (Years 4 to 6).
Our small-group lessons help pupils develop the writing, reading and reasoning skills needed for 11+, selective school entrance exams and long-term success in English communication skills.
Autumn 2026 classes begin from Monday 14 September 2026
More Than Passing Exams
Many capable children understand what they have read or have imaginative ideas, but then struggle to get them clearly onto the page.
LinkyThinks teaches pupils how to approach English methodically. Rather than relying on model answers or endless worksheets, we help children understand how strong writing and communication of your understanding of a text are constructed.
Pupils learn how to:
Develop original and relevant ideas
Structure writing clearly
Understand the use of vocabulary with contextual accuracy
Understand the tricks and hazards of comprehension questions
Approach unfamiliar questions calmly
Communicate with confidence
These skills support 11+ and entrance exam preparation, while also helping children become stronger readers, writers, speakers and thinkers.
Choose the Right English Class
Our Key Stage 2 English classes are mixed-age groups, for pupils in Years 4 to 6
Some Year 3 pupils may also be suitable, depending on their confidence, maturity and current level.
KS2 Creative Writing Method for 11+ and Beyond
11+ and entrance exam creative writing tasks can feel daunting, but with the right techniques, every child can shine. In this class, pupils learn to turn imaginative ideas into clear, confident writing that examiners love to read.
In small, focused groups, your child will:
Master planning strategies to generate and organise ideas quickly
Learn advanced techniques for style, tone and vocabulary choice
Build stronger grammar, spelling and punctuation through practice
Gain the confidence to write under timed conditions without fear
